We have expanded and modernized the cellar several times over the decades, our wines are made in state-of-the-art steel tanks and in 500-liter Hungarian oak barrels, in accordance with the Somló tradition. You can read more about our cellar and how we make our wines here.

Wine Museum

We have been making wine on Somló hill since 1946, and we have gained many valuable artefacts over the decades. Tamás Tornai, the current owner of the Winery, grew up here, and he learned a lot about the hill from his father and the other great old men.

The expansion of the estate center in 1995 provided an opportunity to create a museum of special memories, which we can present to our guests. This is how this unique collection of the history of Somló and the Winery was created.

The museum is the starting point of our cellar tours, but it can also be visited separately by appointment. During the guided visit, we will talk about the unique volcanic soil that made Somló, the millennial history and international reputation of Somló wine production, traditional winemaking techniques and milestones in the history of the winery - for example, the fact Endre Tornai was the first to bottle and market his own wine in socialist Hungary.

Guest House

SÉD PINCE Guesthouse is located on the western side of Somló Hill, in the Séd vineyard, not far from the Séd spring. It is the quietest and most untouched part of the hill, where you can really relax, but many wineries and sights are within walking distance.

SÉD PINCE Guesthouse is located on the western side of Somló Hill, in the Séd vineyard, not far from the Séd spring. It is the quietest and most untouched part of the hill, where you can really relax, but many wineries and sights are within walking distance.
The guest house was built at the end of the seventeenth century as a press-house, and was recently completely rebuilt. Now it's only used as accommodation. Attractive, up-to-date and well-equipped, it does, however, preserve the atmosphere of old times, and has received the "Architectural value under local protection" recognition. It consists of two rooms, each with a bathroom and a shared kitchen. The rooms can be booked separately and have a double bed and two spare beds. The price of the accommodation does not include breakfast.
